April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month. Figures used are from Parkinson’s Foundation.

Parkinson’s Disease is the second most common neurodegenerative disease in the country, affecting more and more Americans each year. While most are diagnosed after age sixty, four percent of people with PD receive a diagnosis before they turn fifty. 1,000,000 people in the US live with PD and 90,000 are diagnosed with PD every year.
